Top 3 Things to Remember About Lulu

  1. Enchanters typically need to be the last line of defense -- as long as you are alive and able to cast your abilities, you can keep multiple people alive and ready to go in a fight. With Whimsy, Lulu can help carries clean up any opposing stragglers! 

  2. Glitterlance can be comboed with Pix to fire an extended shot at someone from an unexpected angle -- this is a simple yet effective way to win trades in lane as you can shield an ally and fire a bolt from them all at once. 

  3. Wild Growth can be used aggressively if one of your allies is in position to knock up multiple enemies at once, so don’t think it should only be used defensively!

Strengths

Lulu is a very straight forward champion thanks to Pix and Wild Growth both being point-and-click abilities. These two abilities do a lot to keep your allies alive, and it can make them feel like they are unstoppable throughout the course of the game. Being a ranged mage, she’s also able to apply direct pressure on enemies, so she can also provide unexpected burst to help out in a pinch!

Weaknesses

Like many enchanters, she herself can be very easy to kill if she oversteps her boundaries. While you can use your defensive abilities on yourself, once you are caught out, you are still likely to fall. You’ll need to be mindful of keeping proper distance between enemies and do your best to play a more supportive role. 

Game Plan 

  1. Early Game: Use Glitterlance to harass enemy laners and use Whimsy and Pix to help your carry secure favorable trades. You can block a lot of damage from opponents by timing your shield correctly!

  2. Mid Game: Always play around a teammate -- don’t limit yourself to just your lane partner. Many champions thrive with the extra move speed and shielding that Lulu provides. 

  3. Late Game: Make sure to keep yourself alive! If you live, your teammates live! Your primary goal is to negate enemy engages with your powerful kit.
