Top 3 Things to Remember About Syndra
Proactively using Dark Sphere just to place an extra orb on the ground can make it easier to hit Scatter the Weak or amplify the damage of Unleashed Power.
You can also open fights with Unleashed Power to give you more orbs for Scatter the Weak -- depending on what your team lacks, it may be more prudent to aim for more CC.
Force of Will can help secure neutral objectives or manipulate the positioning of a wave in your favor.
Strengths
Syndra brings a ton of damage to the table and can instantly secure an advantage in a fight by deleting her target of choice -- even tanks will have trouble surviving her burst if she is able to have a strong early game. Just her mere presence can be enough to deter enemies from approaching, but it’s not just damage that she brings to the table. Sometimes the most impactful play a Syndra can make all game is landing a multi-hit stun with Scatter the Weak, which can really catch opponents off guard with its long range.
Weaknesses
If she misses her abilities, she’s as good as useless in the late game, and the nature of how her orbs works with Scatter the Weak means that her angles can be a little predictable if you don’t properly utilize fog of war. The lack of mobility also means she is easy to lock down if you are not careful with your positioning -- it is critical that you are always ready to repel opponents with Scatter the Weak.
Game Plan
Early Game: Look to harass opponents with your Dark Spheres, though they can also help you farm. At level 6, you can look for opportunities to all-in basically any time you are able to land Scatter the Weak.
Mid Game: Syndra is not the best side laner because of her limited mobility, so aim more for picks by utilizing Scatter the Weak from fog of war.
Late Game: You’ll want to position safely for fights, but you should also look for chances to land a good Scatter the Weak on overextended carries.
